Congratulations goes to Eco-Scraps

Eco-Scraps Article

Congratulations goes to Eco-Scraps, one of Sparkseed’s 2010 ventures, which made Springwise.com’s weekly newsletter. Across the world, more than 100,000 business professionals read Spingwise’s weekly informational product.

Springwise highlights upcoming businesse, social enterprises, and innovations on its website. It chooses the groups to spotlight by making good use of its fans. It asks its nearly 8,000 trend-savvy site users to search the world for entrepreneurial ventures that they think will be the next “big thing.”  Then, Springwise asks its “springspotters,” as its users are called, to suggest businesses and innovations that should be written about on the website. If Springwise editors like a user-submitted topic, they will write about it and place the write-up on the website. If the editors really like a topic, they will write about the next “big thing” in Springwise’s weekly online newsletter. Eco-Scraps made the newsletter cut.

Located in Utah, Eco-Scraps turns everyday table scraps and thrown-out food into a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer.  Its soil amendment is cheaper than many chemical-based soil conditioners, but has the same perks.
